About Us

Little Darlings Day Nursery is purpose built and provides a stimulating, exciting and challenging environment, helping children to achieve their full potential.
We offer lots of different facilities to make your child’s time with us as enriching as possible.

Indoor Areas

Our classroom provision is based on the children’s individual interests and learning requirements. We plan and provide stimulating and supported experiences, making children’s learning fun!

Outdoor Play Areas

We have a newly refurbished outdoor area, fully equipped with an outdoor classroom, sensory garden, mud kitchen and climb and slide.

The garden hosts a wide variety of activities all according to the childrens’ current interests.

We have a team of dedicated practitioners, who are passionate about supporting children’s learning and development whilst providing high quality care for your children.   All staff are fully trained in safeguarding children and everybody has achieved their Paediatric First Aid Training.

We have a graduate led management team, Michelle Carson the nursery manager holds a B.A honours degree in Early Childhood studies and dedicated to making the nursery a happy and fun environment for all our children and staff.

Staff at Little Darlings constantly work hard at refreshing their skills and often attend external and internal courses and training.

We were delighted to have been rated as OUTSTANDING after our last Ofsted inspection (May 2015).
One of the comments from the report states:

Children are extremely happy, confident and self-assured in this stimulating and welcoming nursery. They have strong attachments to the staff who are very caring and attentive to their needs. • Bright stimulating enviroment
  • Lots of toys, activities and friends to play with

The nursery operates with rigorous safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and protection of our children and staff.

Smiles are important to us at nursery and we like to ensure our playroom environments are happy and supportive places to learn and develop.

We are now using the award winning IConnect software and our learning journeys are now securely online. Parents can access these from their phone or computer and send us their special moments from home.

We plan a mixture of adult and child led activities. Our child led planning is done ‘in the moment’ which means we build on what our children are doing at that moment in time. We feel this captures their real time interests and generates so much learning. Alongside this we plan focused adult led activities, which ensure that we are helping children progress in all areas of their learning and development.

Your children’s education and welfare are our main priorities
